Warning to the Ministry
This brief scripture
is the strongest indictment against the Five-Fold Ministry or The Mighty Hand
of YAHVEH. The image of the Kings shepherd is deeply rooted in Eastern literary
tradition, and holds a high place in Biblical history.
Jeremiah viewed them as the
representation of the Kings of Yisrael to the redeemed community; He is
rebuking their slackness in office.
Jeremiah 2:8 The
priests did not say, ‘Where is YAHVEH?’ And those who handle the law did
not know Me; The rulers also transgressed against Me; The prophets prophesied
by Baal, And walked after things that do not profit.
10: 21 For
the shepherds have become dull-hearted, and have not sought YAHVEH; Therefore they shall not prosper, and
all their flocks shall be scattered. Jeremiah proclaims that YAHVEH would give his people new
shepherds who would pasture them with integrity.
Jeremiah 3:15 And I
will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge
and understanding. Jeremiah knew something about the
Holy Spirit. Isaiah 11:2 talks about the Spirit of Wisdom, the Spirit of
Understanding and the Spirit of Knowledge, this is in essence what YAHVEH want
to do. In the Tabernacle in the Wilderness, the Golden Lamp stand represents
the Seven Spirit of YAHVEH. Ezekiel take up the theme from Jeremiah 23:1-6,
which would later resumed in Zechariah 11: 4 Thus says YAHVEH my YAHVEH,
“Feed the flock for slaughter, 5 whose owners slaughter them and
feel no guilt; those who sell them say, ‘Blessed be YAHVEH, for I am rich’; and their shepherds do
not pity them.
What was Zechariah
means when he said in the forth verse, feed the flock for slaughter. This seems
to illustrate a natural occurrence; Sheep are raised to be slaughter when they
reach maturity. In the spiritual, the Ministry must feed the people so they too
can come to maturity. Yahushua is not coming back for an immature people, those
who will be Raptured will not be baby believers, but those who will rule and
reign with Him for a thousand years. But instead, these so-called ministry,
only live of the flock. There only concern is how big the congregation is, and
the amount of money, taken up each and every Sunday.
13:7 “Awake, O sword, against My
Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion,” Says YAHVEH of hosts. “Strike
the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against
the little ones.
For their wickedness he rebukes them, here the King and his leader of the
people. Yahweh will take from them the flock they have ill-treated and himself
become the shepherd of His people.
Isaiah 29:13 Therefore
YAHVEH said: “Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me
with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear
toward Me is taught by the commandment of men. The result of poor ministry
creates a people who draw near to YAHVEH, with their mouth only, for the
commandment of man is in their hearts. What then is the commandment of man,
doctrine that has a form of YAHVEHliness but deny the Power of YAHVEH. Sunday as the day of worship is an example of
a man made commandments, keeping Easter, Good Friday, and resurrection Sunday,
a replacement for Passover and the Day of First Fruits? Replacement theology at
its best.
The object of the Ministry is a similar
ministry to that of Mordicai and Esther. To bring to maturity the bride of the
King, notice the role Mordicai played in the life of Esther, his counseling
help her to achieve all that she could achieve. Notice what Mordicai said to
her in 4:14 “For if you remain completely silent at
this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place,
but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have
come to the kingdom for such a time as this? Each and every one
of us has a part to play in the grand scheme of things; it was Esther role to
deliver the people of YAHVEH from the likes of Haman.
If the ministry is not creating
Esther's in there congregation, then what are they doing. Lets look at what
Isaiah have to say: 51:18 There is
no one to guide her Among all the sons she has brought forth; Nor is there
any who takes her by the hand Among all the sons she has brought up. There is no one
qualified to guide the church, among all the sons she has brought forth, notice
it did not say brought up, for that would imply maturity. But the text says
brought forth. But notice the next statement. Those that the church have
brought up to there standard of maturity, was not qualified to take her by the
hand and led her to the next level. What a sad state of affaire the church is
in.
