Teacher

Teacher

The Funk & Wagnalls Standard Dictionary defines the word Teacher as {"One who teaches; One whose occupation is to teach others; an instructor.}"[1]  It is derived from the Greek {Didakale}[2], one who is an instructor, doctor, master, and teacher.

The Teacher is a very necessary part of The Mighty Hand of YAHVEH. A gift to the body and the body is in need of many, many teachers. The church needs teachers to turn the spiritual babes into strong young men. This ministry is a Holy Place ministry. From the most simple and elementary foundations to the most complicated doctrines. The teacher is the ministry who grounds the church in the way of Yahushua. The teacher lays doctrinal foundations in our lives from the scripture. It is important to note that since a teacher equip the church to walk in truth, it is very important that the teacher also walked in all truth himself. In other words the teacher must walk the talk and not just talk the talk.

Another way the teacher is to equip the brethren, is by making them into seekers. The scripture says; ask and it shall be given to you, salvation Outer Court. Seek and you will find the Holy Spirit, Holy Place. Knock and the Holy of Holies will be opened unto you. Teaching is a Holy Place ministry particularly at the Altar of the Menorah or the Golden Lamp-stand.

Psalms 24:3  Who may ascend into the hill of YAHVEH? Or who may stand in His holy place? 4 He who has cleans hands and a pure heart, which has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully.

Seeking is more than just seeking; it is also finding out what is the will and ways of YAHVEH is for the redeemed community. What do Adonai law, ordinances, and commandments say. Am I walking according to the will of YAHVEH in my life? The majority of today’s Sunday worshipers are doing so under a program that was instituted by anti-Semitic views back in the third century. When the Jewish religious order was the center of Christianity, the Roman government started a persecution against the church. The non-Jewish members of the church began to distance themselves from any and every-thing Jewish, to avoid persecution. The Sabbath day was changed from Saturday to Sunday; Passover was changed to Good Friday. Passover feast was changed to YAHVEH’s Supper.

The Teacher equipped the father and mother to teach the word to their children so that they may be grounded in sound biblical understanding; this will allow them to seek after those things that are beneficial spiritually. The teacher equips the church to come into the fullness of YAHVEH wherever they are. How is this accomplished? With the help of the Seven Spirit of YAHVEH! We will have understanding, and the knowledge of the situation, and the Wisdom on how to walk in it.

False Teachers

Even the most mature believers can be led astray by false teachers, and Peter warns his readers against them by pointing out four things about false teachers. First, he issues a warning of the danger of false teachers privately bringing in destructive heresies. The content of their program is to deny both the person and the work of Yahushua the Messiyah. The result is that they will bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Second, Peter details the deeds of the false teachers, which include three things. First, they will affect others with immorality. Second, they will bring discredit to the cause of the Messiyah, for because of them, the way of truth will be slandered. Third, they will make the people into a product of merchandise, seeking to rule over them and make a profit.

Third, Peter describes the destruction of the false teachers. The Divine sentence against them will not linger or slumber. The lesson of History teaches that YAHVEH both delivers to and from judgment. There are four examples of this truth. The first example is the angels of Genesis six, who are now chained in Tartarus awaiting their future in the lake of Fire. They have been delivered to judgment. The second example is the generation of Noah. That generation was delivered to judgment while Noah and the other seven members of His family were delivered from judgment. The third example is the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, showing again how YAHVEH can deliver to judgment. The fourth example is of Lot being delivered from judgment. Lot was delivered because he was a righteous man, and the wickedness of Sodom vexed his righteous soul. The principle is that YAHVEH knows how to deliver the YAHVEHly and how to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the Great White Throne Judgment.

Fourth, Peter gives a lengthy description of the false teachers, and states eight things about them. First, they are guilty of lawlessness. Second, they are arrogant, for they rail against angels who are greater than they. Third, they have the ignorance of animals destined to be slaughtered, for they rail against things they know nothing about, and in their railing they will be destroyed. Fourth, they are characterized by licentiousness, for they look upon each wife as a potential adulteress; for them, this sin has become a way of life. Fifth, they entice the weaker brethren who lack the spiritual maturity to resist them. Sixth, they are guilty of the error of Balaam who at least learned a lesson from his donkey, but these will not learn anything. Seventh, they are empty of content, for they are like promising springs that produce no water and are destined for the eternal blackness and darkness of the lake of fire.

They entice others into false doctrine by offering them the fulfillment of the lust of the flesh. They promise freedom, but in the end they place their followers into deeper bondage. Eight, they are therefore, subject to the greater judgment. Their last state will be worse than the first, because by their association with the believers, they escaped the defilement of the world; but now, they return to it. It is better not to have ever known the truth than to come to know it and then turn away from it. They fulfill the proverb that a dog returns to its vomit and the washed sow to the wallowing in mud.

In the light of the tabernacle, those in the Outer-court are those who are babies in The Messiyah. These are the ones who see the world from the natural eyes. It is the Teacher who takes the individual from the realm of the Outer-court to the realm of the Holy Place. When we get to the realm of the Holy Place the scripture says in.

Hebrews 5: 12 - For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of YAHVEH; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 - For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. It is in the realm of the Holy Place that the Holy Spirit will teach us.

There exists in every man a beginning of knowledge in the light of his own mind. By that light he knows by observing the natural from the start of creation. There are certain general assumptions that are contained in all knowledge, and these we must apply to our particular memories that is related to all our experiences, so that by relating the known to the unknown, he can discover for himself things of which he is ignorant off.

Teachers are the ones who build on what their students already know, He provides tools, for which the student can use to build on him or herself. He helps develop the student's mind, not by interior illumination as angels do, but by taking the students through proofs from premises to conclusions, which they did not have enough logical competence to deduce for themselves. He takes them from where they are to where he wants them to be. In this way the provider of the proof, actually cause knowledge in his listeners by taking the students from where they are to where He or she wants them to go.

Aristotle says it best, all teaching; all learning derives what is already known it is proof, which is like arguments that bring knowledge.[3]

Galatians 4: 1 Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, different nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

Galatians 4: 2 - But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

Galatians 4: 3 - Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: When we start out in the Redeemed life, we are but babes in the spirit and we are to continue to develop until we are mature. YAHVEH gives us the position of a teacher to bring us to a full-grown son in the spirit furnishing us with an ability that we would not otherwise attain in the natural.

The word child in Galatians 3:26 is from the Greek word (nepios) meaning a child who is without full understanding. Though he is an heir still he has to be developed. As long as the child fails to develop he is but a Child and is not different from a servant. In the Roman home, a servant has charge over different possessions belonging to the master. A servant such as the teacher is to care for the spiritual development of that heir. The heir looks no different from the servant, but must obey the servant until the appointed time of the Father. What time is that? It is the time when the father recognized that his son was capable of making decisions of his own, and the father will bring the heir into a position of a full-grown son.

The teaching ministry is like unto a general going away on a military expedition; which takes him away from home for a few years.  The general put his servant in charge of his son. Years later he returns home to find that someone had used his favorite razor; the general shouts to his servants who has been using my razor. His servant replies Your Son Sir! My Son! You mean to tell me that my boy is old enough to use a razor? Yes Sir! Bring him to me. When the Father sees his son he was exceeding joyful. The father then places a gown on him and a ring of authority on his Son’s finger.

The role of the Teaching ministry is to take that adopted son after he is clean, and dress that son in new spiritual clothing. A believer is placed into the family of YAHVEH as a fully-grown son, capable of understanding divine truth. In 1 Corinthians 2: 9-10 we read, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which YAHVEH hath prepared for them that love him. But YAHVEH hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searched all things, yea, the deep things of YAHVEH.” The ministry focus was to always one of teaching the people to focus on YAHVEHly principles.

This simply means that only the Spirit of YAHVEH can interpret the truth in the Word of YAHVEH, and until He interprets it, man cannot understand it. The Holy Spirit alone can interpret the Word of YAHVEH for us. That is what makes the difference today in certain men. A man can bring to the Word of YAHVEH a brilliant mind. He can learn about history, archaeology, and language. He can become an expert in Hebrew and Greek but can still miss the meaning. Why? Because the Spirit of YAHVEH is in the teacher. Even Isaiah the prophet said that.

Isaiah. 64:4 “For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O YAHVEH, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him

Moses took the Children of Yisrael to the place where he meets YAHVEH for himself. The teacher cannot develop a relationship with YAHVEH for you, but he can take you to the place similar to where Moses took the Children of Yisrael the Spiritual Mt. Sinai. If you want to know about The Messiyah, only the Spirit of YAHVEH can reveal Him to you. Even a mature Redeemed person who has been in the Word for years is as helpless in studying the Bible as a newborn babe in The Messiyah, because the Spirit of YAHVEH will have to teach each of them.

The great truth that was given to me at this time was that the Spirit of YAHVEH could teach me as a young believer as much as He could teach a mature Redeemed. We both could understand it if the Spirit of YAHVEH was our teacher. This was a brand new truth for me, and it was a great encouragement as I was starting out in the ministry.

My friend, if you are a new believer, the same Spirit of YAHVEH who is teaching me can teach you. If you are YAH’S child, He has brought you into the position of a full-grown son, into the adoption. And, my friend, there is nothing quite as wonderful as that! That gave me confidence when I was a young believer and it gives me confidence to this good day. My friend, the Spirit of YAHVEH will lead you and guide you into all truth if you want to know it, if you are willing for Him to be your teacher. This brings us to the third thing that faith in The Messiyah does for us that the Law could never do for us, which is the experience of sons of YAHVEH. Revelation says to take this book and study it and in your mouth it will be like honey, this is so true.

Who is a false Teacher!

A false teacher is one who will teach the commandments of men. Just after Yahushua ascended into heaven, there were those who would come into the church, with the doctrine of circumcision in order to take the new believers back into captivity. Those who taught that Sunday is now the Sabbath are a type of false teachers. Which man ever lived, included Yahushua who has the right to change the commandments of our Heavenly Father. Yahushua Himself says that He does what His Father says, and YAHVEH says I am YAHVEH thy YAHVEH I change not. I know for a fact that the Word of YAHVEH is for everlasting; therefore no one has a right to change it for whatever reason they might think. It is a good thing to celebrate Yahushua raised from the dead but that is no reason to change the Sabbath day.

Jude begins his letter by stating its occasion, 3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. 4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, unYAHVEHly men, who turn the grace of our YAHVEH into lewdness and deny the only Lord YAHVEH and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our common salvation was his original intent, however now his present intent would be I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints, was the idea of Paul’s apostolic teaching. The reasons for this sudden change is that certain unYAHVEHly men have crept in privately, false teachers to be exactly. Their purpose was to turn the grace of YAHVEH into greed and to deny their only Master and Lord, Yahushua the Messiyah.

YAH’S Holy Spirit lives in believers, guarantees that YAHVEH will fulfill His promises by writing His laws in their heart. Therefore whoever breaks the Law does not have the Holy Spirit, and is not being led by the Holy Spirit.

Jude goes on to describe these false teachers in length and points out four characteristics about them:

ü   There is the lesson of history “5 But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that YAHVEH, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. 6And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; 7as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” that YAHVEH will judge all sin. Future reader are to bring to remembrance three things, the first was the wilderness experience, “ But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that YAHVEH, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt” YAHVEH had saved a people from Egypt, but then destroyed the unbelievers. The second is the angel of Genesis six. These angels did not keep their own principality by remaining in the angelic realm, but left their proper habitation of the heavenly realm by intermarrying with human women. These angels are now kept in everlasting bonds, never to roam free again, being chained in Tartarus according to II Peter 2:4 For if YAHVEH did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment” and there they will remain until the judgment of the Great White Throne. The third is that Sodom and Gomorrah, the men of this city, like the angels gave themselves over to fornication and so both groups were guilty of sexual immorality. Both groups went after strange flesh, flesh of a different kind, sexual relationship that went after contrary to nature.  For the angels of Genesis six, the strange flesh was a human woman. and for Sodom and Gomorrah, it was homosexuality; these are all example of YAH’S judgment of sin.

ü     Jude discusses the deeds of the false teachers “ 8 like wise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries. 9Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “YAHVEH rebuke you!” 10 But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves.” Of which there were four. First, they defile the flesh; second, they set at naught dominion. Third, they rail against being greater than they. But railing against greater being than they, they fail to follow the example of Michael. After the death of Moses, Michael the Archangel did not railed against Satan. A dispute had broken out between Michel and Satan over the body of Moses. Although Michael is a holy angel and Satan is a fallen being, positionally Satan is greater than Michael. Michael is the Archangel, but Satan is the Anointed Cherub. Michael did not rail against someone greater than he, but committed the situation to YAHVEH. Fourth, those who rail against things they know nothing about, and what they do understand naturally will eventually destroy them.

ü        The third thing Jude deals with is the status of false teachers “ 11 Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. 12 These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots; 13 raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.” They were like the sinners of the Old Testament, for they follow the ways of Cain who insisted on his own way and not YAH’S. They will commit the error of Balaam, intent only on gaining reward and they repeat the saying of Korah, who rejected YAH’S mediators of Moses and Aaron. Jude draws seven similarities in his description of the false teachers. They are like rocks just below the surface of the water and so cause wrecks, like cloud without water, producing a false hope; like spots or small stones in their agape feasts breaking the teeth of those who bite into them; like shepherds who only feed themselves, like autumn trees without fruits, and so twice dead because they did not produce in the spring and are still barren in the fall, like wild waves on the sea, always restless and untamed and without peace, and like wandering stars of fallen angels, for whom the blackness of darkness of the lake of fire is reserved forever.

ü         The fourth thing Jude deals with is the status of False Teachers “ 14 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, YAHVEH comes with ten thousands of His saints, 15“to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are unYAHVEHly among them of all their unYAHVEHly deeds which they have committed in an unYAHVEHly way, and of all the harsh things which unYAHVEHly sinners have spoken against Him.” 16These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage.

He quoted the prophecy of Enoch that YAHVEH is coming with myriads of His saints for the purpose of executing judgment upon all, for their works and words. The judge of their words will be for walking in their own unYAHVEHly lust and showing respect of persons for the sake of advantage.

Blessed are you Hashem our YAHVEH King of the Universe, who has chosen good Teachers and has delighted in their words, which were spoken in truth. Blessed are you Hashem our YAHVEH who has chosen the scripture and the Five-Fold ministry as His servant and Yisrael the church and the Teacher of truth and righteousness.
