Purpose of the Five-Fold Ministry
(The Mighty Hand of YAHVEH)
Ephesians 4:11And to
some, his gift was that they should be apostles, to some prophets, to
some evangelists, to some pastors and teachers, 12 to knit YAH’S holy people together for
the work of service to build up the body of Christ, 13 until we all
reach unity in faith and knowledge of the Son of YAHVEH, and form the perfect
man, fully unity in faith and knowledge of the Son of YAHVEH and form the
perfect Man fully unity mature with the fullness of Christ himself.
The prime directive of The Mighty Hand of YAHVEH, the
Five-Fold ministry is to bring the flock to maturity. This can only be
accomplished by fulfilling or helping them to build the five spiritual altars,
that is symbolize by the cross in everyone’s life. Every member of the
Five-Fold ministry has a singular purpose, and that purpose defines his
ministry.
The Evangelist’s sole purpose is to offer the sacrifice of
initial salvation at the Brazen Altar.
The purpose of the Pastor is to offer the sacrifice of
purification at the Laver, by the washing by the Blood or water baptism.
The purpose of the
Teacher is to offer the sacrifice at the Altar of the Golden Lamp Stand, The
Seven Spirits of Isaiah 11:2 or Baptism of Fire.
The purpose of the Prophet is to offer the sacrifice at the
Altar of Showbread, the written word of YAHVEH.
The purpose of the Apostle is to offer the sacrifice of
praise and worship at the Altar of Burnt offering,
The
purpose of the ministry of the Evangelist is one that offers sacrifices of
repentance to YAHVEH for the new convert. Exodus 12:21 Then
Moses called for all the elders of Yisrael and said to them, “Pick out and take
lambs for yourselves according to your families, and kill the Passover lamb.
22“And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood
that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with
the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door
of his house until morning.
Today
this sacrifice is first and foremost the Blood of Yahushua our Messiyah, The
Blood that poured from His feet. Without His Blood there can be no remission of
sin. The Job of the Evangelist’s ministry is to introduce unsaved people to the
Blood. It is the outreach arm of the ministry, the one that goes out and
convicts the world of sin, requiring from them a commitment to the Messiyah.
This
process usually involves some spiritual warfare before entering the enemy camp.
This required taking the flesh apart, exposing the inner part to be clean by
the next stage. It is at this initial stage that Blood is used as a seal,
protecting the newly saved from the enemy. It is symbolic of passing over from
death to life, and provides the new believer with protection from the angel of
death or eternal damnation. The Brazen Altar is the first stage in the way of
salvation. It is the first high place
that a person must build to YAHVEH. It is this Altar that brings us close to YAHVEH
for the first time so that we can acknowledge Yahushua as Lord and repent for
our sins. This is one of the two altars in the Outer court, that is constructed
of brass, symbolizing repentance. The next is the Laver.
The Pastoral stage usually takes place within six days from initial
salvation. Why do I say this? It took six days for the children of Yisrael to
reach the Red Sea , baptism of repentance,
where all that the world has that kept them in bondage was finally destroyed.
This process involves an extensive process; this involved severing any links
the new believers had with the outside world, those things that kept them
captive to the World. As Pharaoh’s army, the thing that imprisoned us is
finally destroyed.
The success of the Pastoral counseling will
determine the type of ground the Teacher will have to sow the seed of the word.
If the cares of life have not been properly addressed, that heart will be like
the seed sown among thorns. Also if emotional and physical abuses are not
overcome they will be like the seed sown on rocky ground. But if a successful
counseling session is done, then the seed of the Word of YAHVEH will be sown on
good ground, that will bring forth 30, 60 and 100 fold. This is the first Altar that will cost the
New Believer something, their attachment to the world.
The Laver is the only Altar that contains
water; it is also the only Altar that does not have any dimensions, symbolizing
that every new believer that comes to this Altar requires different amount of
the washing by the Word of YAHVEH. It is the only Altar where the New Believers
get to look at themselves from YAH’S perspective; we can see ourselves as YAHVEH
sees us, and the things that we need to change. The following scripture is a
promise that YAHVEH made to those who come to this Altar.
Isaiah 44:3 For I
will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will
pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring; 4 They
will spring up among the grass Like willows by the watercourses.
John 4:10 Jesus
answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of YAHVEH, and whom it is who
says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have
given you living water.” 11The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have
nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do you get that living
water? 12“Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the
well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?”
13Jesus
answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14“but
whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the
water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up
into everlasting life.
The
custom of immersion in the Jewish custom is symbolic of purification or renewal,
it was a custom to other ancient religions, and it is the baptism of
proselytes, the essence of purification. John’s baptism, though suggested by
these practices, is distinct from them in three ways.
§ One, it
addresses moral purification not ritual purification.
§ Two, it
take place once as a ceremony of initiation.
§ Three, it
has an eschatological value insofar as it enrolls its recipients among the
number who are preparing for life with The Messiyah.
Yahushua alone, not John, will baptize in the
Holy Spirit. John’s baptism continued to be administered by the disciples. There
is however a double duty at this Altar! Believers will at some point in their
Redeemed walk stumble.
John 13:14 “If I
then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to
wash one another’s feet. There are times when we will need to return to the Laver to
wash our feet. It is our feet our walk that can be contaminated by being among
unsaved people, we are supposedly to return to the Laver and wash ourselves
before entering the Holy Place .
John 3:5 Jesus
answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the
Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom
of YAHVEH .
Upon entering the Holy Place, the new believer will find
the ministry of the teacher, who will teach the new believer about the Seven
Spirit of Isaiah 11:2 and Revelation 5:6; To light the lamps in the
Tabernacle, both individual and corporate teaching are required. John
16: 5“But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me,
‘Where are You going?’ 6“But because I have said these things to
you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7“Nevertheless I tell you the
truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the
Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
8“And when He has come, He will
convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9“of
sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10“of righteousness, because
I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11“of judgment, because
the ruler of this world is judged. 12“I still have many things to
say to you, but you cannot bear them now.
13“However, when He, the Spirit
of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on
His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell
you things to come. 14“He will glorify Me, for He will take of what
is Mine and declare it to you. it to you.
Isaiah 32:15 Until
the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a
fruitful field, and the fruitful field is counted as a forest. 16 Then
justice will dwell in the wilderness, And righteousness remain in the fruitful
field. 17 The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of
righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.
18 My
people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet
resting places, 19 though hail comes down on the forest, and the
city is brought low in humiliation. 20 Blessed are you who
sow beside all waters, who send out freely the feet of the ox and the donkey. According to
scripture it usually takes about 50 days after initial salvation for the person
to receive the Holy Spirit. Remember that YAHVEH gave Moses the Law fifty-first
day after the first Passover. And the Holy Spirit came upon the Disciples
exactly fifty day from Passover.
In the Old Testament fire is usually defined, as a
purifying element, more refined and efficacious than water. Water was already a
symbol of YAH’S Spirit, which comes to purify the hearts of the new believers.
The fire of Gehenna forever goes on consuming that which defied purification.
The Spirit, which hovered over the water at the first creation, now appears at
the beginning of the recreation of the new believers. It is the same Spirit
that anoints Yahushua for His Messianic mission which it to guide.
The Holy Spirit, will breath the creative energy of YAHVEH,
who will guide the individual as it guided Yahushua in the fulfillment of His
mission, as He guided the beginning and development of the Church.
On the North side of the Holy Place
is the Altar of the Table of Showbread representing the Word of YAHVEH, the
truth.
Teach
the law which is YAHVEH Word, which is the Messiyah, to teach them YAHVEH’s
Laws and statues.
We need to remember that Yahushua is the Word of YAHVEH,
who became flesh. A man’s authority is in his word, his instructions come from
his Words, and so YAHVEH when He speaks He speaks through His Son. If you see
me you see the Father for I and the Father are one, a man and his word is the
same.
Isaiah 59:21“As for Me,” says YAHVEH, “this is My covenant with them:
My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth,
shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor
from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says YAHVEH, “from this time and forevermore.”
How can a sinful, immortal person, worship a sinless mortal
YAHVEH unless the instruction is given to them. The Law was written as
instruction to a redeemed people, who had left Egypt , and was know in the
wilderness. It was instructions on how to approach a Holy YAHVEH. The original
Word was given on tablets of stone, because the people refused to go up the
mountain to meet YAHVEH. Today the Holy Spirit come to write the Law on our
hearts, from thou shall not, to, if you love me keep My commandments
John 14:15 “If you
love Me, keep My commandments. 16“And I will pray the Father, and He
will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. It is the
combination of the Holy Spirit and the Word of YAHVEH that will determine our
righteousness. Inside of the Holy Place the
only light was the glow of the Golden Lamp stand. One could not eat from the
Altar of Showbread unless the lamp was lit. Similarly we cannot understand
Scripture unless we have the Spirit of Understanding.
The
final Altar before entering the Holy of Holies is the Altar of Burnt Incense,
representing praise and worship.
John 6:23 “But
the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the
Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24
“YAHVEH is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in
spirit and truth.”
Worship in Spirit and truth, is
with the aid of the Holy Spirit, in particular the Spirit of Wisdom and the
Spirit of the Fear of YAHVEH, and according to the Word of YAHVEH.
Psalm 50:1 The
Mighty One, YAHVEH YAHVEH, Has
spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its going down.2
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, YAHVEH will shine forth. 3 Our
YAHVEH shall come, and shall not keep silent; a fire shall devour before Him,
and it shall be very tempestuous all around Him. 4 He shall call to
the heavens from above, And to the earth, that He may judge His people:
5 “Gather My saints together to Me,
Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.” 6 Let the
heavens declare His righteousness, For YAHVEH Himself is Judge. Selah 7
“Hear, O My people, and I will speak, O Yisrael, and I will testify
against you; I am YAHVEH, your YAHVEH! 8 I will not rebuke
you for your sacrifices or your burnt offerings, which are
continually before Me.
9 I will
not take a bull from your house, nor goats out of your folds. 10 For
every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand
hills. 11 I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts
of the field are Mine.12 “If I were hungry, I would not tell
you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness.
13 Will I
eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? 14 Offer to YAHVEH
thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High. 15 Call upon Me in
the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” 16 But
to the wicked YAHVEH says: “What right have you to declare My statutes,
or take My covenant in your mouth,
17 Seeing
you hate instruction and cast My words behind you? 18 When you saw a
thief, you consented with him, and have been a partaker with adulterers. 19
You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit. 20 You
sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother’s son.
21 These things
you have done, and I kept silent; You thought that I was altogether like you; but
I will rebuke you, and set them in order before your eyes. 22 “Now
consider this, you who forget YAHVEH, lest I tear you in pieces, and there
be none to deliver: 23 Whoever offers praise glorifies Me;
and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the
salvation of YAHVEH.”
Psalm 92 A Song for the upright. 1
It is good to give thanks to YAHVEH, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; 2 To
declare Your loving kindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night,
3 On an instrument of ten strings, On the lute, And on the harp,
With harmonious sound. 4 For You, Lord,
have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands.
5 O Lord, how great are
Your works! Your thoughts are very deep. 6 A senseless man does not
know, nor does a fool understand this.
7 When
the wicked spring up like grass, And when all the workers of iniquity flourish,
It is that they may be destroyed forever.8 But You, Lord, are on high forevermore.9
For behold, Your enemies, O Lord,
For behold, Your enemies shall perish; All the workers of iniquity shall be
scattered.10 But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have
been anointed with fresh oil.
11 My eye
also has seen my desire on my enemies; my ears hear my desire
on the wicked who rise up against me. 12 The righteous shall
flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon . 13 Those who
are planted in the house of YAHVEH shall flourish in the courts of our YAHVEH.
14 They
shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing, 15
To declare that YAHVEH is upright; He is my rock, and there
is no unrighteousness in Him.
Psalm
93:1
YAHVEH reigns, He is clothed with majesty; YAHVEH is clothed, He has girded
Himself with strength. Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be
moved. 2 Your throne is established from of old; You are
from everlasting. 3 The floods have lifted up, O Lord, The floods have lifted up their
voice; The floods lift up their waves.
4 YAHVEH
on high is mightier Than the noise of many waters, Than the
mighty waves of the sea. 5 Your testimonies are very sure; Holiness
adorns Your house, O Lord,
forever.
The ultimate goad of the Five-Fold Ministry is to produce
Sons of YAHVEH. The Biblical definition of Son of YAHVEH does not necessarily
insinuate natural son ship, but could also imply a son ship which is merely
adoptive, which is a result of YAH’S deliberate choice, setting up a very intimate
relationship between YAHVEH and His creature.
In this sense the title is given to some angels, to the
chosen people, to those who are overcomes. Where it is attributed to a position
gained through carrying one’s cross; it does not imply that he is more than
human, but to a position that can be reached by any human, who believes. The
statement by itself suggested no more than the Divine predilection for the Messiyah
servant, and in all probability means a person who has attain full rest.
Nevertheless the title Son of YAHVEH bears a further, and
more profound meaning of son ship, as delineated above. Yahushua clearly
insinuated this meaning when he address Himself as the Son, ranking Himself
above the Angels, someone having YAHVEH as his Father. Someone who is enjoying
in the Father an altogether singular relationship of Wisdom, Knowledge,
understanding, and Power. These assertions coupled with others speak of the Messiyahs
divine rank.
Revelation 3:21 say “To him
who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and
sat down with My Father on His throne. It is a rare privilege for certain
believers to reach the position of over comers. During the life of Our Messiyah,
it is true that his disciple failed to comprehend the concept of His title of
Divinity as Son of Man. In all probability at a later stage of there spiritual
development, with the help of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the concept of Son
of YAHVEH was be revealed to them.
In conclusion, the purpose of the Five-Fold ministry is to
establish the sovereignty of YAHVEH over His chosen people, and through them
over the world. It is the heart of the Messiyah for His Mighty Hand to preach
to and establish a theocratic ideal, as seen in the Old Testament. It implies
an Army of saints where Adonai will be truly King, they will acknowledge their
royal rights by knowing and loving Him. This sovereignty is jeopardized by
rebellion, it is reasserted by a sovereign act of supreme intervention on the
part of our Messiyah. This is the intervention, which Yahushua following John
the Baptist declared. It is to take the form, not as was commonly expected, of
a successful nationalist uprising, but of a purely spiritual movement.
The redemptive work of Yahushua and the position reached as
Son of Man is prophetic and in essence radical. It forecast the highest
position that can be attained by man, and established that He is the only
begotten of the Father. Setting humans free from Satan’s lies, which is to
cloud the mind of Humans from their rightful inheritance.
Before
we can reach our final eschatological realization when the elect will be ruling
with Yahushua in the joy of the heavenly banquet, we must consider it’s humble
beginning. Its modest beginning was mysterious and arouses opposition, it was
established with power as the
