Dimensions

Dimensions
Apostles are not only to be viewed in terms of their duration and difference, but their dimension must also be considered. That is, Apostles must be understood and appreciated for who and what they are, but in this process care must be taken to avoid attributing more to them than the Word of YAHVEH implies.
Two prevailing erroneous demonic mindsets exist pertaining to the office of the Apostle within the Body of The Messiyah, which needs to be eradicated. One involves under-appreciating the ministry of an Apostle, and the other involves attributing too much to them. While we must not deny their essence, we must be careful to give proper emphasis to their spiritual gifts and calling. An illustration of this sort of over-appreciation of leaders is seen in the life of William Branham, a pioneer in the Post-World war II healing revivals. Although some believe he had a legitimate ministry at first, he appears to have become deluded near the end of His life and was deified by himself and those around him. He proclaimed himself to be the angel of Revelation 3:14 and 10.7. After his death, some of his followers expected him to be resurrected and still others believed he was YAHVEH and was virgin born.[1]
In determining the dimension of the apostolic office, we must be careful not to over estimate the office of the Apostle and their place of importance to the point of disparity. Although Apostles are important in the Body of The Messiyah, they are only human and as such they are marred and fallible. Certainly neither apostles nor the apostolic movement will be perfect. Each apostolic person and each Apostle represent only a fraction of the total equation. The Body is composed of many members, and it takes all of them working together to accomplish the will of YAHVEH. [2]
